Equine Trader members have submitted their video entries showing off their horses, their riding clubs and themselves. Contestants participate in challenges designed to show off their enthusiasm for riding, how much they love their horse, how they participate in the equestrian scene and more.
The winner receives a prize package from Thoroughbred Floats and Steed Health valued at over $1,100 and there’s a great range of prizes for all contestants and for people who have followed the competition and supported their favourite finalist.

We're excited to announce that the winner of the 2012 Thoroughbred Floats Stable Star competition is:
Michael Thomson from Pauatahanui, Wellington
Michael impressed the judges right from the start of the competition. With each progressive Challenge he showed his talent, creativity and his sense of humour. He showed us his close relationship with his horse Giddy and his love of riding. Michael also won the popular vote for 4 out of 6 of the Challenges. With all of that talent, enthusiasm, love of his horse and of riding we really do think Michael is a Stable Star!

Our wonderful runner-up is Willow Keane from Dairy Flat, Auckland. Willow's entire family was involved in the making of her video entries and their joint efforts produced delightful results. Each video showed just what a riding star of the future Willow is! The judges were blown away by Willow's poise in front of the camera, her dedication to her pony Kiri and her love of riding.
