Are you looking for opportunities to work in the equine industry and want a qualification to work with trainers in NZ and overseas?  Do you want to study but you are balancing work, family and other commitments?  We can help.

As a leading provider of the National Certificate in Equine Stable Procedures Level 3, you can undertake study with us by distance. Not only will we provide you with all the study material, but also support you in the field. To help you with practical skills training and assessments, a Field Officer will be appointed to work with you and your horse, in your region.

We will help you learn the skills you need to work in a stables or race-track and pursue work as a sporthorse or thoroughbred racing stable assistant. You will have prior knowledge and skills at an entry level, be physically fit and have regular access to a horse. It is desirable to have the National Certificate in Equine Level 2 (Introductory Stable Skills), a Pony Club C certificate or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience to enable you to undertake this level of equine study.

What else do I need to know?

You have up to 38 weeks to complete the course, working at your own pace to a weekly schedule.  The course is delivered over a number of modules of help organise and focus your study. The qualification comprises 104 to 106 credits at Level 3.

You can join at any time. The course is approved for Student Loan through StudyLink.
