Oki has been with me for 6 years and now he is finally for sale, extremely regrettable sale.
Oki is truly a one of a kind horse, heard often, but he's made a home in everyone's heart. He follows me around like an overgrown puppy.
I have concentrated Oki in show jumping where he has had wins and placings up to 1* Grand Prix, and despite the fact that he could go 3*, he just doesn't seem to be mentally interested in jumping big. On the weekend, after he hadn't been ridden in a week and a half, I got on him and jumped 1.45m.
Oki can be spooky, so he needs a more confident rider, or perhaps a small rider who doesn't mind a jump or two. He's taken me from 1m rounds to jumping 1.45m without blinking an eye. He is bold and honest cross country, never stops. Different rider had ridden him once or twice then went double clear Open in her first ever ODE. I've dragged him out of the paddock after two months rest and won a show hunter class on him, very tidy and careful technique, always a favourite. Loves the beach and loves to swim. Fast and speedy in jump offs, not many can be faster than him.
Regrettable sale, but a must.
