Marlborough Girls College have swept all before them to win most of the major prizes on offer at the Tasman Secondary Schools Equestrian Championships on Monday. Although there was a fair share of apprehension in its camp before the start of competition in Motueka.
"It was an absolutely foul day on Sunday when we left for the event. We had masses of rain and it was blowing a gale," said Lizzie Graham, Marlborough Girls' team manager. "Towing a horse float in a strong wind is not much fun, and all the parents were like `are we crazy going over there?'."
