Now it’s official: As the KNHS (Koninklijke Nederlandse Hippische Sportfederatie - Royal Dutch Equestrian Sport Federation) now confirmed, the dream-team Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival (pictured) can stay together in future. Austrian entrepreneur Herbert Jerich (Jerich International - logistics group of of companies) has bought the 50%-share of Parzival, which was on the market for sale and has confirmed Adelinde Cornelissen via contract that she can ride Parzival at least until 2013.
It was not communicated in detail, of which kind exactly the deal is, which was prepared among others by Sjef Janssen and Jacob Melissen with cooperation from the KNHS. In any case, Adelinde Cornelissen will be the “sole owner” of Parzival, after Herbert Jerich bought the 50%-share from Henk Koers. Koers had already told after the mega-success of Adelinde Cornelissen at the Europeans in Windsor (double gold and individual silver), that he would like to sell his share of the golden gelding. With the new deal, Adelinde Cornelissen can prepare unhurriedly for the World Equestrian Games this year and the Olympic Games 2012.
Well, indeed, it’s always interesting to see how much the Dutch National Federation and her functionaries are doing for their riders and how they get involved into securing horses for their riders and keeping them in The Netherlands…
In last autum, the Austrian sponsor Herbert Jerich has already placed his Hannoverian gelding Wunschtraum at Adelinde’s disposal. Ob, by the way: Parzival will be named ‘Jerich Parzival’ with immediate effect.
