Kazmere Stud

Kazmere Stud was established in 1991 and saw us become the first established breeders and promoters of the Arabian Warmblood in the South Island. Our foundation and much-loved stallion

Kazmere Armani has been a wonderful ambassador for this breed and John and I look forward to his progeny now coming of age and competing under saddle.

The new direction in which our stud is headed we hope will be seen as a positive step for breeders and riders in most equestrian disciplines. After a long period of studying proven bloodlines, looking at stallions and their progeny and also their performance, we decided to take the opportunity that was presented to us and import some new, different and complementary bloodlines into the New Zealand market. We hope that our two Dutch imports Flowervale Meteor and Flowervale Freelady will be an asset to Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing and Showing enthusiasts.
On a personal level, horses have been a part and a passion in my life for as long as I can remember. At the age of three, I was riding my first pony and by four, I was the youngest member of Pony Club. Throughout my childhood, I competed in Showing, Eventing and Show Jumping and by my teenage years I was breaking in and schooling horses for a number of clients. My competitive riding came to a halt a number of years ago after a riding accident, but since then I have endeavored to further my equine knowledge by attending as many Breed/Judging/Riding seminars as possible, increasing my ability as a breeder, competitor and a judge to understand the makeup and the form and function of our equine athletes.
Kazmere Stud is a boutique operation, situated on the western outskirts of Christchurch between Templeton, Yaldhurst and West Melton, 10 minutes from Christchurch International Airport and 20 minutes from the center of Christchurch.
John and I welcome visitors and are always happy to show off our equine friends.
